speaking for the sake of speaking

I get on my nerves quite frequently.
One of the things that I do that irritates me the most is when I talk for the sake of talking. I really cannot stand that. As I am speaking, I am mentally kicking myself. What I just said had no purpose and often comes out all tangled and unable to be understood. I want to speak with a purpose. Have something to say, think through it, and then say it in a short, precise manner. I want to talk with a purpose.

bird watching

One of my most favorite things to do is birdwatch out the kitchen window while I scrub pots and pans.

We used to live in the woods and I had forgotten how much I enjoyed watching the birds, until
recently. We work for a family that lives in a heavily wooded neighborhood. They have a large window above their kitchen sink and I can watch the birds.

I have never been good at identifying birds, Mom and Justine always put me to shame.

I see beautiful birds, woodpeckers, chickadees, some type of bluebirds, and many others. It makes me wish I had a bird book handy so I could identify the birds as I see them.

I hope one day my home has a window above the sink. I think observing birds is good for my soul.

a tidied room

I just cleaned up my room. It was a beautiful thing. It have been about a month since my room had had all the junk laying about tidied up. I am not usually such a messy person, but I had really let my room go. And suddenly it just bothered me. Bothered me a great deal. So I cleaned it all up. Put everything away. And now life is wonderful.
